- Soldiers Memorial Field is approximately 0.8 miles away, about a 15–20 minute walk.
Walking is strongly recommended because vehicle traffic around the field becomes heavily restricted later in the day.
Important Traffic & Parking Information
If you’re driving into Summit for the celebration, plan to arrive early.
On July 4:
- Roads surrounding Soldiers Memorial Field close to vehicle traffic beginning at 6:00 p.m.
- The Ashland Road parking lot next to the tennis courts is closed for the day.
- Accessible parking is available near the intersection of Watchung Place and Tulip Street.
